In 1987 the first design of what we know today to be Street Fatigues (SF) was conceived.  Umar Riggs set out to change the world.  He was inspired by this humble beginning and in 1996 his inspiration sparked the birth of Street Fatigues.  The brand was established as an alternative for the urban professional, entrepreneur, socialite, and everyday man or woman; looking for a clean and crisp look that was in stark contrast to the face of the industry at the time.  Even today, SF keeps the goal of providing these alternatives and creating classic apparel that lasts a lifetime.

Street Fatigues represents the spirit of the international man and woman.  SF is a brand that inspires people from all backgrounds and walks of life.  It ignites the fire to achieve dreams, overcome the odds, activate social change, and succeed in all endeavors.  The company motto clothing the world, one garment at a time has been the driving passion that has seen SF go from street sales and vending on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University to trunk shows across the US, to international collaborations with Sun in Leo and Nike and now to retail locations in the continental US, Canada, and globally in Dubai, London, Germany, Amsterdam, and Tokyo.

While the company motto directs the brand, our design elements are derived from history, heritage, jazz, Hip  Hop, Spoken Word, and the organic vibes of your local coffee shop, street corner or bodega.  SF is poised to ascend to the top of the fashion world; one garment at a time.

Because of our international appeal and clean design we have been honored to clothe the likes of The Roots, Spike Lee, Mos Def, Common, MeShell NDege OCello, and Missy Elliot.  Recent collaborations include internationally renowned DJ King Britt, and Kindred the Family Soul.  These collaborative efforts have helped to stoke success and support the growth of the brand.
